In order for your wood piece to remain in the current condition in which you receive it [size, shape, color, etc. ] it needs to be displayed and/or hung in a properly balanced, humid, environment. If your home is more 'dry' your wood piece will warp, bow, kink, cup, or even go crooked at some point or given time. It is recommended to keep your home between 40%-65% humidity. Outside of these parameters your wood piece will warp or become saturated respectively.
